Athletics & Clubs

Extracurricular activities can provide a more well-rounded academic experience for your child. The intramural program at Emory H. Markle Middle School is designed to provide students with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, recreational and competitive sports.

Each activity will be supervised by professional staff members who are knowledgeable in the activity they sponsor. Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Emphasis is on fundamental skills and fun, not competition.

The following list of activities will likely be offered this school year. Also included is a tentative time schedule of when each activity will likely take place. Most extracurricular activities will take place on our campus between the hours of 3:25 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.; however, exact times will be announced in school several days in advance. Students who wish to participate will also be instructed on where and when to sign-up several days before the first session begins. Other activities may be offered that do not appear on this list.
